1.3 "Delivery" refers to the transportation of the Product to the address specified by the Customer.
2. Orders
2.1 All Orders are subject to acceptance by the Company.
2.2 A minimum deposit of 20% of the Order value is required to confirm the purchase.
2.3 All deposits are non-refundable.
2.4 Orders cancelled after 24 hours of placement will incur a cancellation fee of 20% of the total Order value.
3. Pricing and Payment
3.1 All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
3.2 Payment for the Order must be completed no later than 5:00 PM on the day before delivery. Failure to meet this deadline may result in the cancellation or delay of the delivery.
3.3 Customers using finance options must ensure that the person named on the finance agreement is present at the delivery address to sign for the delivery.
3.4 The Company reserves the right to adjust prices due to errors or changes in pricing from suppliers.
4. Delivery
4.1 Delivery Schedule:
-
Delivery can be narrowed down to a particular day; however, it is not possible to provide a specific delivery time.
-
A courtesy call can be made 30 minutes prior to the delivery team’s arrival to advise of their imminent arrival.
-
The Company does not deliver on weekends.
4.2 Delivery Times Quoted:
-
Delivery times quoted at the time of sale are approximate and may be subject to delays.
-
Delayed deliveries do not entitle the Customer to cancel the Order or claim compensation.
4.3 Delivery Address:
-
It is the Customer's responsibility to ensure that the delivery address provided is accurate and accessible.
4.4 Delivery Charges:
-
Delivery charges will be specified at the time of purchase and may vary based on location and delivery requirements.
4.5 Access and Safety:
-
Customers must ensure that the delivery route is free from obstacles such as furniture, wall hangings, and ornaments.
-
Children and pets must be secured away from the delivery area to prevent injury.
-
The Company is not liable for damage to property during delivery, although every reasonable care is taken to avoid accidents.
4.6 Missed Deliveries:
-
If a delivery cannot be completed due to the Customer’s absence or inaccessible premises, a redelivery charge may apply.
4.7 Inspection on Delivery:
-
The Customer must inspect the Product upon delivery. Any damages or defects must be reported to the delivery team or the Company within 24 hours.
4.8 Risk and Title:
-
Risk in the Product passes to the Customer upon delivery. Title to the Product remains with the Company until full payment is received.
5. Offgassing
5.1 New furniture pieces or wardrobe systems may emit a smell referred to as offgassing, particularly in materials such as MDF, particle board, or synthetic finishes. This is a natural process due to the chemicals used in manufacturing.
5.2 Offgassing is normal and will dissipate over time in a well-ventilated area.
5.3 The Company cannot provide replacements or exchanges due to offgassing.
6. Product Assembly and Care
6.1 Furniture Assembly:
-
The Company recommends using a professional assembly service, such as a flatpack wizard, for the assembly of bedroom furniture and wardrobe systems. We can arrange for the flatpack wizard to attend your home for this service.
-
Please note that payment and liability for the assembly service lie with the flatpack wizard. If you are dissatisfied with the assembly service, please contact the flatpack wizard directly to resolve any issues.
-
Customers who choose to assemble the furniture themselves do so at their own risk. The Company is not responsible for any damages or breakages caused by inexperience during self-assembly.
-
Parts that are broken or damaged due to incorrect assembly will not be replaced by the Company.
6.2 Care and Maintenance:
-
Furniture and wardrobe systems should be maintained according to the care instructions provided.
-
Proper care will help to ensure the longevity and appearance of the Product.
7. Care and Maintenance of Furniture
7.1 Cleaning Products:
-
When cleaning your bedroom furniture and wardrobe systems, it is recommended to use mild cleaning products only. Harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners can damage the finish and cause it to lift or discolor.
-
Do not use fragrance oils or harsh chemicals to clean or treat your furniture, as these can damage the surface and cause irreversible harm to the finish.
7.2 Moisture and Condensation:
-
Do not allow moisture to sit on the furniture, such as from glasses, mugs, or spills. Prolonged exposure to moisture can cause the finish to lift or warp.
-
Wipe up any liquid spills immediately with a soft, dry cloth to avoid damage to the surface.
7.3 Fragrance Diffusers:
-
Do not place fragrance diffusers, oils, or heated devices on or near furniture. The heat and oils can damage the surface, causing discoloration or deterioration of the finish.
7.4 General Maintenance:
-
Always follow the care instructions provided with the Product to ensure it remains in the best condition.
-
Regular dusting with a soft cloth and occasional use of furniture polish (if appropriate for the material) will help to maintain the appearance of your furniture.
8. Wardrobe Systems and Furniture Stability
8.1 Freestanding Furniture:
-
All wardrobe systems and bedroom furniture are freestanding. It is the Customer's responsibility to ensure that the floor where the furniture is to be placed is suitable and level.
8.2 Securing to the Wall:
-
For safety reasons, it is highly recommended that wardrobe systems, chests of drawers, and any heavy furniture items be secured to the wall to prevent tipping accidents, particularly if there are small children or pets in the home.
-
The Company does not provide a wall-anchoring service, and it is the Customer's responsibility to arrange for the furniture to be properly secured to the wall.
8.3 Settling into the Floor:
-
Large, heavy furniture can settle into the floor, especially if the floor is new carpet or soft flooring. This settling can occur over time, particularly once the furniture is filled with the weight of clothes or other items.
-
If you feel your wardrobe system or furniture needs adjustment or is settling unevenly, please contact the Company, and we will be happy to arrange an assessment and provide advice on how to resolve the issue.
9. Imported Furniture and Shipping Delays
9.1 Imported Furniture:
-
Some furniture items are imported and, as such, may be subject to delays due to shipping issues, customs delays, or other external factors beyond the Company's control.
9.2 Delays and Responsibility: -
The Company makes every effort to minimize delays; however, no cancellation or compensation will be provided for any such delays caused by external factors, including but not limited to shipping, customs, or transportation issues.
9.3 Damage During Transit: -
Some components of imported furniture may incur damage during a long journey. In the event of damage, the Company will arrange for replacements as quickly as possible; however, these parts will need to be imported, which may take additional time.
10. Measuring Service
10.1 Free Measuring Service:
-
The Company offers a free measuring service to assist the Customer in ensuring that the purchased furniture and wardrobe systems will fit in their desired location.
-
If the Customer chooses not to take advantage of this free service, it is the Customer's responsibility to ensure that the items will fit in the designated space.
11. Warranty
11.1 All Products are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty against defects for a specified period. Details will be provided with the Product.
11.2 The warranty does not cover:
-
Normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by improper use or installation.
12. Liability
12.1 The Company is not liable for:
-
Delays or failure to deliver due to circumstances beyond its control.
-
Indirect or consequential losses arising from the purchase or use of the Product.
-
Damage to property during delivery, although reasonable care will be taken to avoid accidents.
12.2 The Company’s maximum liability for any claim shall not exceed the price of the Product.
13. General
13.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.
13.2 Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
